My Story

My mission is to transform contemporary girls into retro vintage bombshells. My Company Retro Lux Photography is dedicated to the recreation of the beloved pin-up from the 40’s and 50’s with a modern twist. I have had a passion for pin-ups from a young age, as a young girl I was captivated by the classic looks of my grandmothers in photos from the 40’s and 50’s. I started recreating the looks while in high school finding a love for hair and makeup. In 2007 I joined the Army looking for adventure leaving my small town in Kansas. While in the Army my obsession for cheesecake photography started to grow. After leaving the Army I started pin-up modeling, entering local pin-up contests as a hobby. In 2013 I decided to share my passion with others and enrolled in cosmetology school. I graduated in 2014 and moved to Ogden, Utah where I started working with local photographers as a hair and makeup artist. While working as a hair and makeup artist I fell in love with the art of photography. I am fueled by making women feel great about the true beauty they possess.

With love,
